The HIP is the acronym for the Hellenic Italian and Portuguese Alliance of South Africa HIP is a group of socio-politically sympathetic business persons and professionals from the Hellenic (Greek and Cypriot) Italian and Portuguese communities of South Africa that give of their time and expertise on a complimentary basis to promote the wellbeing of the HIP communities in South Africa and therefore the African continent by extension. The focus is on bridging the gap between Government and the HIP communities and their needs, as well as promoting active citizenry and Socio-Economic and charitable compacts within South Africa by the HIP and other South African community structures.
